Municipal Airport is located on the eastern bank of the Missouri River in south-central North Dakota, where it serves the commercial, air cargo and general aviation needs of the cities of Bismarck and Mandan. Owned and operated by the City of Bismarck, the airport is one of the only four major air carrier facilities in North Dakota, and is capable of handling the largest and most sophisticated aircraft in the commercial, military, or general aviation fleets. It lies close to major interstate highway and rail corridors, linking the airport to regional, national, and international markets.
